    The Star needs Alfred St site to circumvent the Crown effect. A large part of the mass market ie bread and butter is cruise ships which NSW is developing in a big way...how far do fat american/chinese gamblers want to walk...not far.

    Part of the Genting/Echo strategy is to cut off the Crown traffic where possible.
