Not having a go Brian but it is.
Granites was put on skeleton crew and everyone flown out for 9 weeks because of heavy rain yrs ago.
Apart from the obvious lake fuel is the problem. Road gets cut and the mine runs out of fuel.
Cyclone season is coming up and if a low blows down there 25 inches in a week is not surprising.
Look at the rainfall records.
