Buddha is not a fable because what is written in the Buddhist scriptures is the complete diagnosis about human mind made suffering & its cure. Therefore, who or whatever wrote this scriptures was 'Buddha', i.e., 'awake', 'enlightened'
but if we have not comprehended human suffering then we can never know Buddha because this 1st thing Buddha ever taught was: "the noble truth of suffering is this...this is to be comprehended"
further, the impression gained is you have never read the Buddha scriptures therefore you are obviously not in any position to comment on Buddha
my impression is you are just a materialist, that wishes for more & more lifetimes of life, without any sensitivity to human suffering or social injustice
most of the Xtians on this forum, that you seek to refute, a similar materialists as yourself, because their primary goal is living forever
however, the essence of the Bible is about social morality & social justice. for the most part, the Bible is actually a very earthly orientated book
in a similar way Buddhism is the same because it is simply about overcoming human suffering. one title of Buddha is 'Spiritual Doctor'
but in what appears to be a blindness to human pain & social injustice, you just post your 'egoistic spiritual materialism' here, in the same way as most of the Xians

Christianity actually has a deeper spiritual reality, which is why I can respond often to the materialistic Xians. Christianity points to the kingdom of heaven, which is a superior happiness based on developing the many virtues the bible speaks of
but your Blavatskyian junk very few are interested in and there is little in it than can form a common basis of discussion
Buddha, being the light of the world & the originator of perfected spirituality, can shed great insight into the more practical Christian teachings
but Blavatskyism is just materialism; something quite alien to the realities of human life
