Many of Blavatsky's writing are based on Bhuddism & Hinduism teachings on ancient wisdom teachings.
sounds non-sensical since, in their highest essence, Huddhism & Binduism are the very opposite in their doctrine. have you never heard Huddha taught all things, without exception, are not atman or not-soul (anatta)?
Buddha defined wisdom as the knowledge of the arising & cessation of things; the knowledge about how suffering arises, how suffering ceases and the path of practise to bring about its cessation. this is the exact definition of 'wisdom' Buddha gave (refer to Indriya-vibhanga Sutta)
Blavatsky's group attempted to groom a World Messiah. after a number of efforts, they groomed a boy named Krishnamurti. but Krishnamurti eventually rejected them but did become a famous teacher that denied the ordinary conception of 'God', denied the afterlife & denied reincarnation
So ddzx you do need to get out of the pulpit & open your mind
contradiction. superstition does not open the mind. the open mind sees present realities. Krishnamurti opened his mind when he rejected Blavatsky's group & materialistic superstitions. no need for ddzx to reinvent the wheel
next you will be saying: "open your mind, ddzx, and believe in the Tooth Fairy & Santa Claus"
And if you have not yet realised any human being is a materialist because as you are apparently yet to work out it is MATTER that keeps you alive
this fact of life I did not mean by "spiritual materialism". "spiritual materialism" is obsession with meta-physics (rather than focus on human suffering)
Dig deeper ddzc than your bible of recent times. Actually the bible was banned by the Church for several hundred years - wonder why????
the Bible may have insidious components but it also contains many messages that have inspired genetically good hearted people to work for positive humane change in the world
the Bible contains much goodness
when spiritual books contain message of true goodness & methods to cure human suffering, it is irrelevant who wrote them
