I no longer use commercial programs and just use my own stuff in Microsoft excel.
Because I use Excel I have the ability to make my own indices.
So for example I don't have to look at the goldies as a whole. I can keep drilling down if I wanted to from Goldies to Gold Producers to Gold Producers (Australia) to Gold Producers (Australia) with good management.
Or as 3500 has posted in the last week a set of tourism companies. Maybe transport could be better split up into air transport vs land transport vs tourism. I am all ears here because to me it makes sense combining companies into their own sector and not what is set by the asx or S&P.
I will check out comsec to see what they have to offer.
