we all know that most people are bone lazy - and irrespective of the price of petrol, they would prefer to pay for the petrol, then to do a bit of exercise.
watso is long in the tooth these days - but donkey years ago, when he had a job in the city, and a lot of transport (including public transport) gravitated into the city - anyway, watso could get into the city, on the bike, faster than the bus (point to point - ie home to the office) - and frankly, using private transport , there might have been little difference .
ha ha -if people cut out short distance drives, then petrol prices would collapse - thus creating extra demand, and sending prices back up.
for what it is worth, but watso rides a bike (thus putting downward pressure on petrol prices, and the need for roads) - gets a "feel good" serotonin boost (who needs ice??) - and even saves on viagra - because the blood is always pumping to the most important parts of a mans body
