I am wondering if the mother may have ordered a cocktail with her meal and perhaps given the daughter a taste,....methanol kills quickly sometimes and it is a big problem here.Being confident of obtaining genuine foreign made spirits here is difficult with plenty of counterfeit spirits/bottles and duty labels existing.It will be interesting to see what results come from the autopsy.
