    Goblin -

The Balinese did not bomb Bali -

non-Balinese Muslim fundamentalists bombed Bali - did then - will again - notice bombers usually Muslim fundamentalists?
    Balinese are Hindu.

Don't know why I'm arguing with your very generalised, hate filled posts.

But having travelled the world very extensively - over many decades - (not boasting, just fact,) and knowing, very intimately, the true nature of the Balinese - many of our friends being true, honest, sincere - salt of the earth - and the "artistocratic elite" of old established families, who would give you the last shirt off their back - rock solid friends - I protest at the cheap and superficial, unjust views on Bali being currently expressed.

The poorest Balinese can still produce the biggest, sincerest smile in the face of terrible adversity. No BAlinese starves. They have the strongest communal support networks. (Can't say that for many spoilt rotten self-indulgent Aussies - who never have enough of anything they moan and grizzle). Sadly, this splendid Balinese culture is being sullied and will be gradually diluted into extinction by shallow Westerners out to make a quick buck.

And yes, we have travelled the length and breadth of the USA - even on Greyhound Buses in the early times - and the Americans are amazing with their friendship and hospitality. MUCH more welcoming and genuine than many supercilious Aussies. The older American generation are well mannered to the nth degree - the salt of the earth. Sadly many of their young are absolute materialistic greedy self serving brats! SO are some of our Aussie kids.
BaLinese kids have nothing in comparison - yet their smiles are broad and genuine.

To those who can't stand Asia - they must have closed minds - and can't see the wood for the trees.

The Balinese we know and love are, as I write, "looking after" some of my own young family members. Their friendship true, and genuine. Their love and hospitality knows no bounds, to the point of being embarrassing. Yet these are old, entrenched friendships - we know they truly love us - and we always know we have a safe haven up there if ever we desperately come to need it. Which is more than we can say of many of our so-called "friends" in OZ.

This sad incident has to be explained. Why "blame" the Balinese, overall? Food poisoning, if this is what has happened, is not exclusive to Asia.

Try love instead of hate, Goblin. You might well feel better.
