Counting in Bags is an old description used by Farmers when talking about how the crop yielded, or was going to yield. 12 bags of wheat (per acre) equals 1 ton which a while back was a good yield. 15 bags of Barley and 18 bags of Oats were also good yield. Gone metric now so it is just a description. 5 bags would have only covered costs!!!!!!
