I like to hold a constant short position on the index - costs a bit in interest but partially hedges all my single stock holds that are all long.
Im always close to 90% invested, ie 90% of my net worth is generally in stocks, so it helps me sleep at night.
The other 10% is in digital currencies and physical silver.
