Well if its true that 5 boats were turned back, were they asylum seekers, , did the boats get back safely? Did any sink? did people drown?
Because of the secrecy we dont know. We dont even know whether its true.
Preventing people smuggling and drownings and securing our borders is a good thing but we dont know whats really happening. How do we know that stacks of asylum seekers may already have drowned as a consequence of the turn back policy? I mean how do we know if we arent told of the specific circumstances? If boats are being sent back safely to Indonesia and Indonesis is happy with that it would be fantastic news but the government wont spell it out so we dont know. Why??
