“Can you explain that one-share phenomenon please?”
There were around 216,000 shares to buy at 2.5 and 200,000 to sell at 2.4 during the closing auction (so it was matching 2.5). Just prior to the close one buyer amended so there were only 199,000 to buy vs 200,000 to sell and having one less to buy than sell changed the match price to 2.4 from 2.5.

"Way too hot for fishing today Chuk, you'd be fried alive out in the Gulf today."

Ha, wait till next week; 41 degrees for Tues and Wed and 43 on Thursday. No forecast of increasing winds so possibly hotter on Friday. I’m more than used to it though. Today’s 35 degrees or even 40 degrees won’t stop me from fishing if they are biting.

I remember one week fishing the head of the bight and we were standing in the surf everyday while fishing to keep cool (not knowing what the temp was other than damned hot!). At a servo on the way out, we couldn't get fuel because it was too hot and the fuel was turning to vapour in the pumps or lines (or something like that). The owner told us it was 45 degrees every day while we were there and if we wanted fuel we had to wait till the evening.
One afternoon in my bobcat days, I had to move maybe around 4 or 5 tonne of clay soil by hand because access was too tight for the bc. It was hot so I went flat out with the shovel and wheel barrow so I could finish in time to go to the beach later. Three or four hours of flat out hard labour later, in the truck on the way home (it got to late for the beach) I heard on the radio it was 43 degrees that afternoon. I have no idea how much water I drank and sweated but my 5litre water container was gone in the morning and I visited the back tap every 5-10 minutes for a skull of water and to wet my hair to cool down. My hair kept drying out in between those 5-10 minutes.

I might have known how the guys up at Old Pirate must feel except they don't get to stand in the surf all day or get some relief from a see breeze in the arvo and at this time of year they have humidity on top of high temperatures.

As for results, not sure how long before news comes through but shouldn’t take long at all I think.
POG also creeping up again. Hopefully it goes higher again next week to coincide with any news.

Now Macquarie also becoming substantial holder of KCN following Bank of America reported as doing the same earlier today. Good to see some instos getting set again in this sector.
Maybe they are not looking for a quick rebound in gold but looking for oversold gold stocks. That might be what we are seeing with ABU and maybe market looking forward to news as well.

Positive finish to sign off the week and enjoy the w/e.
