I thought it might be of interest if readers could share what they read to keep themselves up to date in the world of finance and politics and to further educate themselves in the world of economics, and the way markets work.

finance has not always been my major interest so I started a few years back now from a very low knowledge base. while I think I reasonably well versed now I am still eager to learn as much as I can.
trading philosophies also come into this.
i'll start off
DAILY Macrobusiness - web based daily comment and inclusion of a broad range of comment from elsewhere - local and world plus a forum. there have been minimal articles over xmas - but should start up next week I hope in full swing Bloomberg - a very brief look at the world of finance each day.+ oil prices, the $A, gold price, some articles from Business Spectator which appear in my in box Weekend Fin. review weekend Age
