that is right D12 the trinity stands as it has for two millenia. The debt of sin is on God's balance sheet not on man.
Only God can clear that debt off, for his ability to pay is infinite no human beings account or that of an Arc Angel like Michael, would be sufficient.
If God is Just and if you can just concieve of the possibility that another person could pay moore for the hurt and sin of man than God can. Then ultimately what you are claiming is God's Justice is not infinite.
God has taken the hit for us, and that is no different if you ask for forgiveness from anyone. The hurt you have done to someone else you are asking to be forgiven by them. You have asked the injured party not to retaliate and also for the indebted party to carry the hit or burden of the pain that you inflicted on them.
Only God can wipe the debt of sin of man away as it is God who we are indebted to. Jesus as God incarnate took the hit for us, wiping the debt owed to him.
