i would be so distraught i would want to kill the guy, but that doesn't mean i think society should adopt my personal approach to rectifying the problem. i would rather see a society that attempts to solve the problem by addressing the root cause, thereby preventing your grandchildren from having to endure the same misery, then live in a totalitarian regime, which historically never works.
if the death penalty were a deterrent, wouldn't people stop smuggling drugs in SE asia?
