After reading Chelkn's initial post and the subsequent musings, my immediate response is to advise anyone who is concerned or interested in these matters to start a subscription with Marcus Today (Newsletter). You can start with a free 7 day trial and anyone who reads todays newsletter will be better for it as he covers a lot of this macro stuff in plain english.
And no, I do not get a kick back!!
Marcus writes in the papers and is an industry veteran - take a look and you will see that he is a stand alone in an otherwise very dubious "advice" industry.
