Nice understated post Dub and I think you are asking us to read between the lines.
I believe this bloody word "multiculturalism" is a part of the problem. One doesn't hear the US describe itself this way. They are pluralists. We used to be. I don't know too many who oppose what immigration has done for this country but I know lots who don't like the term multiculturalism -
