Ericson has been given a $1 billion contract to build a 3G network for Telstra which its competitors are going to piggy back on this expenditure and profit by it.
The $1 billion contract given to Ericson is only 1/5th of the total outlay of $5 billion to build a 3G network right across Australia.
Why should Telstra be stuck with the bill whilst its competitors piggy back on the expenditure and profit by it, they want to use the network they have to pay the bills.
This my friend is anti-competitive and I doubt telstra under new management is going to outlay this money unless regulations change and Telstra competitors pais a part of the bill to access its networks.
