The book of Revelation is an extraordinary symbolic work. Full of great moments of tension and shadows, a symbolic picture of expanding horizons of truth, and the fulfilment of prophecy of all ages. It also identifies the culmination of great religious and social cycles. A spiritual bridge, so to speak, from yesterday to tomorrow. An enigma seized upon by some to hammer away about the end of days, blah, blah blah.
When I was a kid there people wandering about with placards touting the end of days, usually parroting something from Revelation.
The world is not going to come to an end any time soon. By soon I mean millions of years. I know this will break a lot of religious hearts who pray each day for the end of time. What would they do without the end of time and satan?
The verses you have highlighted have come to pass. This stuff is very complicated and requires a sound knowledge of the events that led to and surrounded the beginnings of Islam and the aftermath, including the 12 Imams etc. These verses are a prophetic discourse concerning Islam and events after the passing of Muhammad. Way too complex to unravel on a forum like this.
