US DLA suspends sales of columbium, tantalum and tungsten
The US Defense Logistics Agency late Monday said it has suspended sales of diamond stones, columbium metal ingots, tantalum and tungsten until the Defense Authorization Bill for fiscal year 2006 is passed by the US Congress and signed into law by the President.
Sales of commodities from the stockpile can occur only with congressional authorization and the DLA has reached the limit of its authority under existing law, the agency said.
