The logic of your post puzzles me.
First, producing miners are ALWAYS updating their reserves and resources for years as they mine it. This is often done by infill drills, with strike extensions, and even finding new discoveries, eg. Duckhead. Otherwise Mother Nature takes them to zero, ie. mined out. Early days here.
Without a resource/reserve how can you say BDR's "mining it now, so by the time they could update it a lot would already be through." They may have only scratched the surface (Pun: see depths of holes, with mineralization at EOH.)
Grade control is in part a function of: producer costs relating to the Au price.
Therefore your post is based on unknowns fuelled by negative speculation. Until hard numbers are out, including Fe credits, I'll speculate positively.
