Iress is a good platform but it runs like a dog if you have the configuration set to 9 frames. It is far better to choose the "No Frames" configuration (under the "Window" menu) and save this configuration. This speeds up the response time greatly because it gives each window its own paint function. (Otherwise, any minor change in any frame repaints all the frames at great CPU expense.) This is also the best configuration for multiple monitors because you can move the windows anywhere on any monitor and they are all controlled (eg minimized) by just one taskbar app. However versions above Neo 4.5 won't save the position of any windows to the left of the main monitor. They will open on the main monitor and will have to be dragged into position each time Iress is started. This is pretty minor bug probably caused by using and unsigned int to store the window positions. (Dont bother asking iress support or your broker about it - they know nothing.)
