I would suggest & I'm sure the SOC management are getting plenty of advice on this from Instos & brokers etc, that they need to simplify the ownership structure, not the other way around.
SOC are also currently very well funded for their extensive exploration programs with their current JVs etc. Obviously you can't rule out further deals being done such as they have to date, however I don't think its likely unless SOC were paid quite a handsome premium to the current SP as they don't really need it at this point, so why give it away even at the current valuations of the company.
