Hi manny,
foxtels new streaming business may simply be a way to limit other companies growth and is expected to be loss making.
I expect foxtel to buy up content but this should have only a limited effect on QFX as they have their business set up already and are heading to break even with customer growth.
foxtels pay TV deal was subsidised by the taxpayer in a dodgy deal by the federal government of the time and it still took them 10 years to turn a profit. maybe they can get consecutions with dodgy lobbying? who knows.
Foxtel has significant fixed cost associated with being a big company. QFX operates lean and hungry so I cant see foxtel having the same profit per customer.
