wa shark cull setback, page-68

I find it totally astonishing that the WA govt is contemplating culling these sharks.

What is the objective? Presumably to reduce the numbers so that people will be protected.

OK if we accept that then what are the FACTS... no feelings or suppositions bones.

How many sharks need to be culled to achieve this? What's to stop new sharks entering the area? Does it make any sense at all?

From what I can tell none of that data is avialable, hence there can be no good reason to cull.
