No absolutely not, couldn't short QFX even if wanted to since trading via IB, required to have the shares available in the first place to borrow to be able to short.

However I am short NFLX, confused? No need to be, simply technical.

Shares available to short on ASX via IB are mainly for ASX25 listed stocks. I think the smallest MC I've seen available to short has been AWE

Most shorts I execute are on US large cap stocks or via inverse ETFs, I never short small caps, especially penny dreadfuls any market.

US penny stocks are refered to as pink slips, never touch them long or short.

No one else in the pool trades ASX except me and as I've stated before, I only reserve about 5-10% capital towards ASX trading.

Funny how people see word trading pool, they automatically think its a pool for SP manipulation and shorting.

Just to be clear on disclosure because it's been repeatedly asked in other threads, I've never traded QFX long or short.

Now I know some might be sceptical about the availability of shares to borrow for shorts on IB so here a depth screen shot of the Tool used to check availability of shares to short for any market and stock..
