future m&g products?

I just wanted to give my 2 cents on what I think is in the R&D product pipeline, and what the future pipeline may deliver (pure speculation).

1. We know that the competitiveness of this surface coating chemistry is proven and validated with (1) streptavidin, (2) Protein A and (3) protein G. These are three of the biggest sellers in protein surface coatings targeted to the R&D market, and ADO has already initiated commercialization for beads + plates of streptavidin.
[hint --> 1 down, 2 to go. In the words of TV... tick tock]

There are many products that the surface chemistry of the above 3 proteins are compatible with. These include: plates, beads, slides, purification columns, bio-sensors, chips, immuno-assays and much, much more... When you add up all the various sizes and forms of products, the number of combinations is astronomical!

And the beauty of these products is that the already-proven chemistry remains the same, it's just on a differently shaped surface. I would be surprised if some of these products weren't already in the pipeline.

2. ANTIBODIES!!! I've said this before, I'll say it again. THIS DISCOVERY IS REVOLUTIONARY! M&G is the only product on the market that can be used to glue 100% of antibodies in the correct orientation to multiple types of experimental surfaces. This product is simple, it saves us time, $$ and frustration. It works close to 100% of the time and it's compatible with general assays used worldwide.

This glue will generate (more) royalties from antibody drug research, and potentially from products if they decide to go down the business path of tailor designing plates/beads for common antibodies/antigens.

3. Most of you don't care about the huge impact this will have on research. But you do care that this research directly correlates with products in disease diagnostics, and this is where the big $$$ deals are. Many diagnostics kits these days require *antibodies being glued to a surface*. Royalties, royalties and more royalties here.


As you can see, the sheer number of pathways (some of these completely revolutionary) that this product can impact in the biotechnology market is just ridiculous. The company will make money in one way or another!

Tl;dr --> If I were not an underpaid researcher, I would be investing a lot of $$ in this company. :'(
