You can add someone to the title, however they will incur stamp duty at % of their interest in the property I believe.
It's great leaving something for your children behind but the reality is if you want him to get ahead, inheriting a property in twenty odd years isn't really useful now.
I think it's a bad idea for your son to contribute to the mortgage but not see any benefit until the future.
