On a previous thread you asked "what are these other pipeline products?" (two to launch in Feb 2014 with more in the pipeline).

Muz thought.."Activated microarray glass slides may be one."

I came across this yesterday in the Q2 while looking for something else...

SLIDE OPPORTUNITIES
"We have found that streptavidin, when bound to glass slides using Mix&Go, is stable for many months at room temperature. Currently available products need to be shipped on dry ice, stored frozen and used within days.

A major European manufacturer of glass products has undertaken in-house testing on product manufactured using Mix&Go. They were sufficiently impressed with the outcome and confident with the performance that they shipped some (at room temperature) to a major customer to obtain third party assessment. This company and many others, supply a range of slides with a variety of coatings, including streptavidin."

Would appear that streptavidin slides may/will join beads + plates on the market at some point.
The interesting thing from the above is that the testing co. mentioned.."supply a range of slides with a variety of coatings, including streptavidin."
If they're impressed with M&G streptavidin slides, surely they'll want to be looking at any advantages M&G may be able to achieve with any of their other coatings.

Also from that Q2, two other mediums were being tested with M&G surface chemistry viz, nanoparticles and COP + COC plastics...these may be some more potential products down the road.

For anyone wanting to understand the potential of what's going on with this co., I would recommend reading the Q2 followed by reading the Q3 straight after, and it will leave you hanging out for the Q4.

It would seem this product is potentially going to be truly disruptive, and all the fields of application aren't even in yet.
