big oilers run to their own timetable, and any investment decision to join KAR would most likely need to be approved by a head office somewhere. nothing happens quickly. everyone needs to remember that kar was burned by BG prior to COP involvement. better to get the right partner that is committedto development rather than someone that just wants to bank reserves for later.
its a long term game. look at next door, first well in 1971 and still not developed. best bet is to hold most of them in your superfund, you can wait it out. once someone makes a move to consolidate the browse basin, it will be on for young and old.
