too long a thread to read the posts - but watso had a good atheist experience. becoming an atheist was an enlightening experience - it was if a burden was lifted of watso's shoulders as he realized that he did not have to worry about all the religious clap trap.
without religion, a person could be free - and no need to worry about judgment day - a person could do good, without worrying about earning brownie points for eternal life - the fear of hell became meaningless.
a person could actually enjoy sundays, without the need to go to church, or in the case of some mob - go door knocking.
but then again, the church is a great social group
