Wafflehead,your term Creative Essence is a really good way of getting closer to describing what most like to call God. IT, (not he or she) has been described also as the ground of all being, amid lots of other descriptions. We cannot adequately describe something that is beyond our comprehension,language,or worldly measurement. Therefore, there can only be either one of "Them",OR,possibly an infinite number of them.( jJust as our universe is infinite,and still "expanding", and there may be an infinite number of universes with an infinite number of Gods) Who knows?,I am bloody sure we don't yet. Apologies for a provocative rant,my own belief is a Christian one that responds to the way JesusThe Christ,describes The Father. In my little understanding The Father is the higher aspect of us all that is our link to the Creative Essence,just as a wave is related to the ocean. As Jesus said "The Father and I are one", so we are ALL potentially able to attain that state.
