I think a lot of us would be feeling likewise, but the problem is where your vote would go?
After the last six years, I couldn't possibly vote for Labor.
Again, it seems to come down to the least worst alternative.
The marriage counselling money might be useful later in life when people are perhaps having problems, but when they're in the hormone driven flush of love/lust, they hardly need a counsellor just after being married.
And then isn't it around $200 per couple? What would that buy? About one session with a counsellor?
And, as others have said, by all means weed out people rorting the system, but I'd hate to be trying to manage on the dole or even a government pension.
To hit the most disadvantaged whilst paying wealthy women for a personal choice to have a child seems quite offensive to me.
