No surprise there Menta. Qld Health were propagating lies in a similar manner. Two that I remember were "Only 1 in 5,000 children experience an adverse reaction to the DPT vaccine", and "Measles is a dangerous disease". When I went to the references (which they did, at least, provide) the truth turned out to be that there were 1 in 5,000 adverse reactions from the vaccine. Which, as each child receives three shots, means that 1 in 1,700 children had an adverse reaction (we won't go into the definition of what they mean by "adverse reaction" here). As far as measles being dangerous, the eminent physician they referenced actually said that measles is not to be worried about. The child should be kept warm, and fed plenty of fluid. Rest is essential, and medical intervention is required in very few cases.

One third of all the claims Qld Health made about vaccines were untrue. Funnily enough, I never got a response from my letter to them about the issue.
