Matey, I dived the waters consistently from 1977 till 2007 from Boranup to Hamelin Bay To Cape Leeuwin through to Black Point catching Crays Abalone and shooting the odd fish or two and never ever saw a shark of any significance in that time. Now there are sightings almost weekly in those waters. I would love to be able to post the footage of the 5 metre Tiger Shark and the 4 Metre Great White feeding on the whale just off the Old Water Wheel near Cape Leeuwin during winter last year and only 20 metres of the shore.
