I concur with CSGGuy and Tomh in refuting your beliefs in this case.

Also Mossy is spot on, the omission he refers to is unforgivable and most unprofessional.

The slippage in standards from many, many perspectives in MEL's recent years have far more to do with a broad loss of skills and professionalism, far less to do with any cost cutting.

Many of us were blue in the face, personally I have begun to thaw out now, but one fellow poster who now refrains as much as they can from posting used to say to me of PH in particular, "...he JUST doesn't GET it!"

I too, after speaking and corresponding with MEL staffers, mainly Peter, decided he was grossly over-awed by the daily challenges of fronting our Company.

Some of these 'challenges' I might add are OTHER than the populist ones which get discussed here on HC.

As hard as I looked for material for which to give credit for, as any fair minded investor might, I couldn't...and cannot.

As CSGGuy (again) has pointed out to Eveready just today or yesterday, and I paraphrase....those 'pet' issues that poster lays at the feet of OTHER parties as being responsible for MEL management's difficulties in fact HAVE TO BE MANAGED by MEL!

They have not.

As for the website not being regularly updated? Again, NO excuse accepted, for ALL the reasons outlined by others.

All businesses these days, charitable NFP's, gov't departments, are often judged on first impressions. If today was my introduction to MEL, instead of quite some years ago, it wouldn't rate so well at all, at all....

I would like to think that as we turn this resource laden vessel HMAS MEL around and steaming out through the heads again, I could apportion some credit to current management maneuvers, (and possibly that will prove to be the case).

However....as I see it at the moment, the running is largely being made by other companies working behind the scenes, a small percentage of shareholders working behind the scenes, and a number of insightful and energetic government and industry figures who have grasped how important it is to act sooner, rather than later.

THEY get it!
