I took out the below summary from previous reports in early 2011. The D sands are impressive, but the B sands are what appear to be outstanding.
I look forward to the perforation and production testing of this zone. The gas peaks are 3 times that of the D sands!
Should hopefully have the plant running at full capacity in the coming months.
Sand Member B, Cattamarra Formation
3550-3585m (35 metres)
Total Gas: 200 units
Gas peaks at: 3553m – 1500 units
3566.5m – 914 units
3573m – 921 units
*Comment: The interval 3529-3585m has a gross interval of 56 metres and is potentially a very significant gas charged
interval of the B Sand. Gas peaks of this magnitude have not
been intersected in any of the nearby discovery wells; Gingin-The B Sand in Gingin West-1 had good porosities of 18%. This gas interval will be evaluated by electric wireline logs to determine potential flow rates and reserves
D Sand, Cattamarra Formation
Gas Show:
3737-3756m (19 metres) – Sandstone with occasional
interbedded Claystones. Sandstone fair inferred
visual porosity.

Coaly Unit: 3507-3509m, 2 metres – Gas and Condensate
‘B’ Sand: 3529-3585m, 56 metres – Gas and Condensate
Intra ‘C’ Shale: 3651-3661m, 10 metres – Gas and Condensate
Basal Intra ‘C’ Shale: 3710-3737m, 27 metres – Oil
‘D’ Sand: 3737-3756m, 19 metres – Gas and Condensate
