Amcor Limited (ASX:AMC) says it will no longer acquire a selection of US assets from Constar International Holdings.
The company says it was not successful in buying the assets, which were through a court-supervised bankruptcy process whereby assets were auctioned.
Amcor had previously identified the transaction as an attractive fit with Amcor Rigid Plastics.
Constar’s US business currently operates six plants with annualised sales of approximately US$190 million.
Amcor generated a net profit of $628.4 million in fiscal 2013
