    From todays ABC article:

"Indonesian sources say the youngest person on board was 18 months old and the asylum seekers said food which had been given to them by Australian authorities had run out two days before they reached Java."

"A spokeswoman for Immigration Minister Scott Morrison said: "In line with the policy of not discussing what happens at sea, the Government has no response on the issues raised."

Now I would like to believe the claims about food are just plain wrong. I just cant believe such a thing would occur. not by Australian's.

However the response by the Minister hiding behind an unprecedented shroud of secrecy is the most disgraceful thing a government could do. Instead of re-assuring us that the claims are wrong he hides behind this cloak of secrecy greater than would even apply in a real conflict. It creates an air of suspicion and cover up.

No doubt about it, Morrison will fail to bring the ABC under his heel, but I am certain he will succeed in bringing Australia formerly regarded as one of the most responsible and decent countries in the world into disrepute.

    Morrisons secrecy is madness imo.
