AuCu, celibacy is not the problem. In the US the rate of child sexual abuse is at a greater rate amongst non celibate clergy of various Protestant sects and Jewish organisations. The differencee is that we RC are the greatest absolute number, and we have schools, unlike almost all other organisations.
By the way, what about the Salvos. I reckon the actions of their bad guys have been far worse in many individual cases.
