we've posted about this in the past. Its a thing to mislead the iggerant..
Its sort of measured by the energy quality which used to come out roughly at 6mcfg = 1 BOE. There was also maybe a bit of a price ratio mixed up in it, which 'back in the old days" didn't matter much, because the 6 of gas was worth about the same as 1bbl oil.
Now its quite misleading for punters because of the huge devaluation of gas - in USA, anyway - but generally all over. Cheers, Japes.
