It would not be unbelievable to see the US back Japan covertly.

Earlier than the war with Afghanistan you mentioned - America fought USSR using Afghanistan ------- Charlie Wilson's War.

Which they won - quite decisively and bought down the Soviet Empire.

Why not use Japan? Makes sense. Lets face it - it's the only war they have decisively won in a long time was covert.

Whichever way it cuts though ---------- Australia has a problem - and a bloody big one.

Unless this all fizzles out to nothing - we have a problem.

Will it fizzle out? Don't know.

Will the hatred between Japan and China fizzle out?

Not likely - especially now that China is well on the economic rise.

The yanks might have been able to keep the Japanese in check because of WW2 ----------- but, no one can keep the Chinese in check - no such luck.

And if you even for a minute think Russia -- well, think again.

Russia would be guts up laughing to see the USA have some 'troubles' and if they are going to choose between backing China or backing the US -- who do you think they would choose?

Again, is this anything to do with Australia, business and property?

Is it likely to go away for ever? Not a snowballs chance in hell.
