    My understanding of the way allotments can work is that you are allowed three days to close a share sale transaction. So if the allotment date is 12 Feb you can place a selling order on the 10th or the 11th, receive your allotment on the 12th, and you have complied with the CHESS requirements.

    But please get professional advice if you plan to try this.
