Interesting thread, the greatest traitors. Interesting too bringing up Stalin and the kulaks. There have been estimates of between 6-10 million dead in 1932-33 in the Stalin inflicted Ukrainian famine then, in addition of course to the tens of millions dead in the gulags etc, though all that wasn't widely reported at the time, perhaps plans were already being drawn up for the next fracas, and it wouldn't be a good idea to give the western punters, who would be at the sharp end of things, the idea that they were fighting for a communist butcher.

This was our ally.Uncle Joe Stalin.
And after the whole thing was over ie. WW2 and its 70 million or so dead, we(the west)handed over to Stalin all of eastern Europe including Poland, the supposed reason for the declaration of war on Germany in the first place(though of course war wasn't declared on the USSR who invaded Poland two weeks after the Germans).

Just looking at the whole episode,on the face of it(and without the usual emotion re Hitler etc), it seems that the main beneficiary was Stalin and the USSR.If not for western assistance(and a really cold winter) he was a goner.
There seems to be plenty of treason in there at the highest levels...

    cheers
