Just for information purposes….I can't attend much as I'd like to…..too much on…(but missed Gert - the greatest hero of our era in Perth - which didn't happen - hanks to the weakness of our society)….From the Q society…they are the only thing standing between us - and civil war for our descendants.

    'Dear Friends;

attached is the formal media release we'll now be sending out to major news outlets. Please feel encourage to forward to
your local news papers and any personal media contacts.

Just a little under month now until our International Symposium on Liberty and Islam starts in Melbourne on 7 March.
It is getting time to book your tickets and to make arrangements for travel and hotel.

Melbourne’s Moomba festival is on the same weekend and the following weekend the Formula One spectacular is in town.
Many good reasons to visit Melbourne - and to not leave your travel and hotel booking for much longer.

For privacy reasons we will not put you in touch with other supporters and we can not assist with travel arrangements or tell
you which hotel to choose. There are over 100 hotels in Melbourne’s CBD alone. But we can give the following, general advice:

1.) The venues for the different functions are in separate locations, but all in the centre of Melbourne. The free “City Circle” tram
goes around the CBD in short intervals and this is all you need to get to the venues. When we send you the exact venue details by
email or SMS 48 hours before the event, we will also inform you which intersection or tram stop is closest to the respective venue.
Here is a link to the service: http://ptv.vic.gov.au/route/view/1112

2.) For hotel booking you may wish to use an online travel service like this http://hotels.zuji.com.au/accommodation/australia/melbourne
From bunk beds in dormitories at $24/night to 5-star luxury hotels - you should find something to suit your needs and budget.
This service allows guests to leave comments, so you can read what others thought of the hotel you’re looking at. There are other,
similar services. This is just one we have used to our satisfaction in the past.

3.) For travel bookings and flights to Melbourne you can also use Zuji.com.au - or any other online or “bricks and mortar” travel agent.
If your flight arrives at Tullamarine airport, you can take a cab for around $50 into the city, or catch the SkyBus for $18 one way or
return $30. You can pay at the bus stop in front of the terminal, or online at http://www.skybus.com.au

Some JetStar flights arrive at Avalon airport, halfway between Melbourne and Geelong. See http://www.avalonairport.com.au for details
    and transport options.

A number of hotels offer transfer bus services to and from the airports, just ask.

If you prefer to travel by train see http://www.railaustralia.com.au/
And if you always wanted to come to Melbourne by bus then see http://www.greyhound.com.au/
For travellers from within Victoria see http://www.vline.com.au/

More information about the event, the presenters and links to order your tickets are available on www.qevent.org

    Best wishes
