pigofsteel: Yep - it's all in the results. Or the announcement. Or the lack of an announcement.
I do wonder how much of a fuss has been caused by the - results early 2014 - HD schedule because my interpretation of that is early in Q1. It feels like there's a bit of a hole where there should have been an announcement and this gap is now being filled by conjecture and commentary. People are primed for some information and if they can't get it from Prana then they'll find it elsewhere.
As for trying to assign a motive to the delays; forget it. It's too easy to paint it both ways. You can assume that whatever Prana is doing they'll be after the best possible result for the company, but beyond that just let it go and wait and see. I guess that quite a few people will have no choice as the recent drop will see them locked in until the announcements unless they're willing to take a loss now.
I do believe the HD results will be tricky to analyse. If there's a marked improvement in one or more symptom then that would be straight forward, but if they're looking at a slowed decline then that could be difficult to prove, especially since the disease progresses at a different rate for different people. A slowed decline would be a good result IMO.
I'm looking forward to analyst commentary after the results are in.
