Hi Snuff. If the heat is trapped in the deep oceans one must ask about the mechanism which transfers more of it now than it did 50 years ago.
But I did a quick search on the ARGO project which has only been in operation since 2003. According to Jo Nova it has shown a [maybe]rise of 0.02deg C. The buoys have an instrument error of 1deg C so there is not the data there to support the alarmists. The debate is whether the instrument error of 1deg becomes 0.004deg when one considers the number of buoys deployed. Nova says "No" but that is something I couldn't possibly comment on.
