Well obviously they are going to recruit like minded people but, yes there are some party members who feel that branches can seem "infiltrated" by business groups. And it not an uncommon path for someone to join the party, then become a political staffer, followed by preselection for a seat. happens with Labor too. Plenty of career politicians as well.
