Yes you are right. The 777 issue did begin with JD and yes, he too made a lot of bad strategy calls and yes I have posted my thoughts on that. The point I made yesterday is that AJ is the worst CEO QAN has had. In fact, AJ has had over 5 years to address the fleet issues and could well have leased some 777's and saved a bundle. He has failed to do this.
Re work practices, the workforce within QAN has been scaled back to bare minimum in many areas, workplace reform has been everpresent and productivity has improved a hell of a lot, so staff have never been so productive and the introduction of new technologies has made it even more so. Hard to blame problems on work practices IMO. Benson you write as though no workplace reforms have occurred. Ask any QAN staff member, the workplace has changed dramatically in the last 10 years.
Re FF program, I would not sell any % of it, keep it 100%, it is a growing asset.
