Can't help you with specific info about financial stuff because that's not my forte and there is plenty of experience around here that I'm sure will be happy to throw in their 2cents.

There's not too many people who really know what they want to do, there are some of course but I feel they are in the minority. Most people go through life merely crossing off all things they DON'T want to do, but they have to do them to figure out that they didn't want to do that thing in the first place, they just thought they did. :)

The advice I give to my son is simply to fin d something you really love doing and just do that, eventually the money will come. If the money is your end goal then it tends to be rather elusive and then when you do get some it it also fleeting. Make decision to 'be' rather than to 'do' and you'll ahead of the pack in terms of happiness and eventually in terms of materialism as well.
